Greenwashing is a form of advertising or marketing strategy where tactics are deceptively used to persuade the public that an organisation/company's products, aims, and policies are environmentally friendly. (For example: Volkswagen cheating the pollution emissions tests on its vehicles and advertising its environmentally friendly cars, Coca-Cola portraying itself as sustainable but is the biggest polluter of plastic in the world, and H&M’s false advertising of using "sustainable" materials in their clothing.)
"The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was established to promote the unity and solidarity of African countries, defend state sovereignty, eradicate colonialism, promote international cooperation, and coordinate and harmonize Member States’ policies. The AU supports political and economic integration among its 54 member nations. It aims to boost development, eradicate poverty and bring Africa into the global economy. In September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Building on the principle of “leaving no one behind”, the new Agenda emphasizes a holistic approach to achieving sustainable development for all. These goals include: No poverty, Zero hunger, Gender equality, and Reduced inequality. Despite the wide-ranging goals, anti-racism or anti-Blackness is not one such objective. There is also no mention of the effects of colonisation on the development of countries that were formerly colonised. "
The landlocked and mountainous Laos aims to become the "Battery of Southeast Asia" to boost its economy and escape its prolonged poverty by exporting hydropower electricity harnessed through its dams on the Mekong River system to its richer neighbours. The development plan was financed through loan grants from China and currently has 16 hydropower stations, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, as downstream (Lower Mekong) countries, are protesting against dams built in China and Laos (Upper Mekong) for contributing to the prolonged drought conditions in the entire Indochina region.

1. Wakanda is a small landlocked country in Africa. Million of years ago, a meteorite made of vibranium, the strongest substance in the universe, struck the continent of Africa, affecting the plant life around it. As time passed, The Wakandans used the metal to develop technology that was far more advanced than any other in the existence and a cloaking field to protect themselves. Wakanda is a tribal society, in which fives tribes settled. These fives tribes used to wage wars for the control of Vibranium. After that, one tribe emerged victorious and banded with three other tribes to form a government. Currently, the head of state is passed down in the royal family of the tribe in charge. However, this position can be challenged any time by anyone else from all five tribes in a ritual of physical altercation. By the time of the debate, suppose the world has been made aware of Wakanda's technological advancement and wealth. 2. For the purpose of this debate, Wall-E is a robot made to find an nurture all forms of life. The Earth on which Wall-E lives was utterly destroyed by humanity due to their exploitation of natural resources. After that, humanity fled away in a spaceship. In the absence of humanity, recently, Earth has been purging itself of pollution, and life has been reemerging. Suppose that humanity cannot self-sustain for much longer on the spaceship or find a new habitalbe planet and that Wall-E is the only entity capable of saving them by returning them to Earth
