Ngày 5/12/2024, tại Văn phòng tạp chí Nhà văn và Cuộc sống, nhà thơ Nguyễn Quang Thiều, bí thư Đảng đoàn, chủ tịch Hội Nhà văn Việt Nam trao quyết định điều động ông Lương Ngọc An giữ chức phó tổng biên tập tạp chí Nhà văn và Cuộc sống. Vụ việc bắt đầu khi Dạ Thảo Phương, một nhà thơ, công khai tố cáo ông Lương Ngọc An đã có hành vi cưỡng hiếp cô cách đây hơn hai mươi năm. Năm 2022, Dạ Thảo Phương đã từng lên tiếng tố cáo Lương Ngọc An khi ông được bổ nhiệm chức vụ Phó tổng Biên tập Báo Văn nghệ, sau đó ông được bổ nhiệm công tác ở một vị trí khác và đi vào quên lãng. Trong năm 2022, một làn sóng dư luận mang tên #standbyPhuong (đứng bên Phương) đã bùng nổ với nhiều cá nhân và tổ chức độc lập lên tiếng ủng hộ Dạ Thảo Phương. Năm 2024, làn sóng ủng hộ nữ nhà thơ lại một lần nữa trỗi dậy mạnh mẽ với cả sự đưa tin của những trang báo có uy tín.
