Trong lĩnh vực truyền thông quốc tế, “free flow of information” (dòng chảy tự do thông tin) là học thuyết cho rằng thông tin nên lưu chuyển xuyên biên giới một cách tự do, không giới hạn bởi nhà nước, văn hóa hay cơ chế kiểm soát. Học thuyết này hình thành mạnh mẽ trong bối cảnh Chiến tranh Lạnh, gắn với tư tưởng tự do báo chí của phương Tây, và được xem là nền tảng của các hệ thống truyền thông hiện đại, đặc biệt là truyền thông toàn cầu bằng tiếng Anh. Tuy nhiên, các học giả thường chỉ trích học thuyết này vì tính bất bình đẳng thông tin - quyền lực do các hãng thông tấn lớn của phương Tây (BBC, Reuters...) nắm giữ, hay xu hướng thương mại hoá thông tin

However, this position can be challenged any time by anyone else from all five tribes in a ritual of physical altercation.
