Impromptu / Prepared Motions

The two types of motions in the WSDC format. Prepared motions are announced weeks or months before the tournament, allowing teams to conduct extensive research and drafting. Impromptu motions are announced 1 hour before the debate begins, testing a team's general knowledge and quick thinking.
