Status Quo

The current state of affairs in the world before any proposed policy is implemented. It serves as the baseline for comparison in Policy and 'TH Prefers' motions.

• UADC usage note: The Appendix C glossary treats "status quo" as the "current situation"; the phrase "current status quo" is therefore not a valid term.
