A definition that fails to clearly answer vital questions about what is meant by the motion or what will happen under the policy defended. This often involves failing to specify who a policy applies to, who will implement it, or the consequences for defying it. A vague definition is not automatically invalid, but drastically undermines the team's persuasiveness. (UADC 2025 Handbook, section 4.4.1.)
